Since 1996, HEXACATH has headed an ambitious Research and Development program in collaboration with public laboratories, international clinicians and Key Opinion Leaders, with the aim of putting together a range of advanced cardiovascular products. In the past 7 years huge investments have been made to develop a unique coating technology based on Titanium-Nitride-Oxide which has been patented.

Bio Active Coating does represent today the only true alternative to both BMS (bare Metal Stents) and DES (Drug Eluting Stents) offering lower restenosis and thrombosis while patients have not to be under dual antiplatelet treatment for the long run.

HEXACATH will continue investing significantly in Research & Development, and will launch in 2009 a new range of peripheral products providing the Bio Active Stent technology for vascular interventionists.

The manufacturing plant located in France in the Doubs area is closed to Geneva. This location is famous for its expertise in micromechanics and metal know-how since centuries and could be called the "European Silicon Valley". Hexacath has set up there its manufacturing facility as well as its Research and Development Department.

The Headquarters are located near Paris where the Commercial, Export, Quality and Regulatory Affairs Departments can be found.

HEXACATH is a registered ISO 9001 and EN 13485 company. All the HEXACATH products are CE marked.

The company has expanded its distribution network via distributors or direct organizations in more than 40 countries.
